About Joemighty Was Here...

Our history as a gaming community started in 2005 in World of Warcraft in a guild called Red Moon. This was the first Horde raiding guild formed on the Hellscream(EU) realm. Red Moon was quite successful for several months until the guild broke up over political issues between the officers of the guild. Red Moon members Nether and Yuma suddenly found themselves guildless and went to a different server, disappointed by the issues that happened.

After several months playing on a different server (and Red Moon being a dead guild on Hellscream) Nether and Yuma had a chat and decided to take matters into their own hands. They went back to Hellscream and took charge of Red Moon with the idea of breathing new life into the guild. Recruitment was opened and shortly after, many new members joined. In the years after, Red Moon (with Yuma as Guild Master) became one of the most respected guilds on the realm and was successful in balancing social fun with gaming progress.

In the early years, our focus was only directed at World of Warcraft, where we scored success after success. It was around 2010 that we started to play other games together as well, like Starcraft 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Diablo 3 and Guildwars 2.

During the course of 2012 we pushed our community to a higher level. Realising we had become more than just a WoW guild, we decided that it was time for a new name. While looking for a new name, we remembered one of our first Red Moon members, whose WoW character was called Joemighty. Though he himself had gone inactive, his character name did represent the old school approach we wanted to take. Hence the name Joemighty Was Here was born.

We are currently focused on the following games: Ark: Survival Evolved, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm and Starcraft 2. The online games we play will change over time, depending on what the gaming industry throws at us. We are always looking for new members to join us in our community adventure. What we are looking for are mature players who are interested in playing in a laid back atmosphere but with progress in mind.
